Commercial renovation of Hermès Melbourne.

Hermès is a world-renowned luxury brand that started in France in 1837. They specialise in leather goods, ready-to-wear items, accessories, watches, jewellery, perfumery, and home furnishings. Their 400sqm Melbourne store is located in the historic ‘Harley House’ at 71 Collins Street in the heart of the prestigious ‘Paris End’ of the street.

Andrew was part of the management team, along with FDC Construction & Fitout, that completed the renovation and fit-out in the impressive six-storey heritage building. The installations included the following:

  • Custom internal concrete staircase
  • High-end joinery manufactured overseas
  • High-level security system
  • Feature lighting
  • Reinforced façade glazing
  • Premium quality broadloom carpet
  • A leather handrail installed by two leather handrail specialists flown in from overseas

The 18-week project was done in collaboration with Interni, Medland, and France-based RDAI Architects.
